After escaping from an irate
TV audience at Jupiter's favourite game show, "The Half Wit Show" Joe and
his friends land on Saturn. Joe meets two old codgers reminiscing.
They preferred to rely on fading memories than travel back to their halcyon
days.
Verse 1
Old friend, do you remember,
How things were, how things
used to be?
Old friend, do you remember,
Watching cricket on the
green?
But now they've closed all
the factories down,
The village green is now
long gone.
They came and took away
our summer dreams,
Old friend, you’re all that's
left here with me.
Verse 2
Old friend, do you remember,
All the old friends that
we used to know,
Old friend, do you remember,
Like fools we had to let
them go?
These people came and they
walked into our lives,
And then we let them slip
away,
My mem'ry's fading, I can't
remember their names,
Old friend, old friend please
stay.

Verse 3
Old friend, do you remember,
The times we shared when
we were young,
Old friend, do you remember,
The songs we wrote but left
unsung?
I love to take a walk down
Memory Lane,
Rememb’ring how things used
to be,
Now all that's left is just
the mem’ries and you
Old friend, stay with me.
Now all that's left is just
the mem’ries and you,
Old friend, please stay
with me.
