After the singing telegram
singers all walked out Joe programmed the Robot Mark III to sing the telegrams
- but it got them mixed up.
Verse 1
Congratulations to the girl
dressed in white,
Doesn’t she look such a
lovely sight,
We’re all so happy that
you’ve both got wed,
They’re not just good friends
coz they married instead,
So the toast is to Alice
and Reginald too,
It’s too late to turn back
you silly old fools.

Verse 2
Don’t let them tell you
you’re over the hill,
Just try and tell them there’s
life in you still,
Don’t let them tell you
your best days are gone,
Just try and prove that
you’re still going strong,
So happy returns on this
your birthday,
And deny that you’re old,
who cares what they say?

Verse 3
Congratulations, you’ve
passed the test,
You’ve got your licence
now do your best,
Remember your lessons and
what you must do,
You’re on your own now so
it’s all up to you,
So get lots of practice
and you’ll go far,
But one final thing, can
I borrow your car?
